About This MetaReport: Neo-Cardiogenesis is a segment of one of the most heavily funded areas of medical research in human history The dampening of the enthusiasm in recent years, after the initial euphoria of growing natural bypass to the blocked coronary arteries, has been attributed to the strong “placebo-effect” that resulted in less than desirable outcomes of the recent clinical trials with several angiogenic agents.
This MetaReport focuses on investigating the challenges facing the clinical development of therapeutic angiogenesis products, and formulates a strategy to maximize the probability of achieving significant efficacy in the ongoing and future clinical trials. The study findings will not only revitalize the currently active or on-hold Neo-Cardiogenesis programs but also hold out a promise to revive and salvage hundreds of millions of dollars invested in those programs that were terminated for reasons of insufficient efficacy or no efficacy. |
